Living in Sarasota County opens up a lot more choices, but this time, I decided to go with good ole' American Airlines (www.aa.com). 🇺🇸 With multiple airports nearby (SRQ, TPA, RSW, MCO & FLL), the possibilities are endless. But change is good, right? So, I opted for a different route!

👜 Regarding Bags - AA allows: 1 Carry-on & 1 Personal Item for FREE. 🎒✈️ For my 11-day trip, I challenged myself to just one carry-on, and that's all I need! I got myself the Main Cabin ticket, which comes with some added perks. Let me break it down for you:

🎫 Basic Economy: No seat assignments, no changes, boarding last. OR 🎫 Main Cabin: No change fees, and you get to choose your seat! 💺

💳 And here's a BENEfit for Citibank Platinum Select credit card holders - Zone 5 boarding and free bags for domestic flights! 🛅✨ One check-in bag is free for domestic flights, but for Mexico International, it's $30 for the first bag and $40 for the second. 📲 Check-in 24 hours before the flight - You can do it easily online! I chose to have my boarding passes emailed to me instead of printing them. 🎫 The app wasn't too friendly with my passport scan, so I found laptop check-in more effective.

✈️ FLIGHT TAKEOFF COUNTDOWN I had a delightful experience with @AmericanAirlines and @TSA this morning! 😊 RSW airport was surprisingly quiet at 6:05 am. Traveling light with my backpack and pink Samsonite carry-on. From drop-off to gate, it only took me 13 minutes! The TSA gentleman warned me about the upcoming rush in November. My 7:30 am flight was recommended to check-in 2 hours prior, but with TSA Pre✔️, I could have arrived at 7 am and still made it for boarding! Crazy but cool! 🕖 #TravelAdventures #AmericanAirlines #TSA #TSAprecheck #FlyingSmoothly ✈️😎👍

NOTE AA A321's have HUGE bins for storing Carry-ons. They state a certain size and have the luggage checker at the gate but I didn't see them check one person's luggage for size.

HINT Take your carryon to the gate. If it's a fill flight more than likely they will check it for free.
